Las Vegas has an above-average fleet of wheelchair-accessible taxis that can accommodate both manual and powered wheelchairs. Accessible taxi vans feature lowered floors and rear-entry lift gates. Unlike many cities, wheelchair taxis in Las Vegas can typically be ordered on demand and often arrive within 15–20 minutes, if not sooner.

Uber Wheelchair-Accessible Vehicle (WAV)

  • Tap Confirm WAV. If a WAV driver is available, you’ll see driver and vehicle details and can track arrival in the app.

  • Drivers receive turn-by-turn directions, but riders may request a specific route.

Paratransit for Visitors

Regional Transportation Commission (RTC) of Southern Nevada

Visitors who have paratransit eligibility in their home jurisdiction may qualify for complementary paratransit service while visiting Las Vegas.

  • Eligibility can be confirmed in advance by requesting documentation be sent to the RTC by mail, fax, or email.
  • Visitors not already certified by another transit agency may be asked to submit documentation of disability.
  • In-person requests without documentation may require proof of residence, and if the disability is not apparent, visitors may be asked to sign a certification stating they cannot use fixed-route transit.
  • Approved visitors may schedule multiple rides per day but are limited to 21 days of service per year (365 days).
